On 30th June 2016 there will be a local by-election in St. Michael’s Ward following the resignation of a Tory Councillor. It is Labour’s local candidate Sam Marchant who is standing up for St. Michael’s and running a local campaign on local issues.
Sam is the local candidate, growing up and currently living in the ward, and formerly attended Welling School.
Sam is committed to standing up for St. Michael’s by defending local parks from being sold for development, supporting motorists and traders with half an hour free parking and opposing the turning off of street lights and cuts to litter clearing.
This runs counter to Bexley’s Tory Council who while raising council tax have made savage cuts, supported by UKIP, to turn off residents street lights, sell of precious local parks and cutting £450k from litter collection.
Yes, we can have safe streets, cleaner neighbourhoods and healthy green spaces. Don’t believe that we have to settle for cuts, park sell offs and dirty streets.”
Help us elect Sam as a strong local voice for St. Michael's Ward by volunteering today.
