Councillor Daniel Francis
Belvedere Ward, Shadow Cabinet Member for Finance and Corporate Services
Councillor Daniel Francis is married with two primary school aged children.
He has lived in the Borough since just before his first birthday and was educated at Lessness Heath Primary School and Bexley Grammar School.
He was first elected to represent Belvedere Ward in September 2000 and apart from a four year break from 2010 to 2014, has continued to do so.
He served as the Leader of Bexley’s Labour Group of Councillors from 2017-2021 and is the Shadow Cabinet Member for Finance and Corporate Services.
He has previously served as a governor at Lessness Heath Primary School and Woodside School, and is a trustee of the Belvedere Community Forum who now manage and operate Belvedere Community Centre, having served both organisations continually for over 20 years.
He has a keen interest in supporting children with disabilities and in raising awareness of issues involving cerebral palsy and epilepsy.
